Farm Landfill Re-Use Slide Show
The Frey Farm
Landfill Vertical Expansion is the Authority's plan to expand the currently
used Frey Farm Landfill by employing a mechanically stabilized earth (MSE)
berm around the perimeter of the footprint to enable effective capacity
increase without substantial liner footprint increase or setback conflicts.
This will:
- Achieve 20+ years disposal
capacity.
- With a lower 10-year, 20-year, and per cubic yard cost than Creswell
Reuse Landfill.
- Utilizes the existing Frey
Farm Landfill permit and disposal site without interruption to its operation.
- Vertical Expansion would add
approximately 16 acres of additional liner system, but would utilize existing
footprint and liner system (approx. 110 acres total).
- Have a net capacity ~10 Million CY
- With an estimated lifespan 23 Years
- Soil Deficit ~750,000 CY
- Cost per CY (2008) $3.85
