Creswell Re-Use

Creswell Re-Use is the Authority's plan to 'piggyback' Lancaster County's future landfill on top of the County's inactive Creswell Landfill.

Projected lifespan – 30 - 50 years (depending upon the efficiency and life of the Resource Recovery Facility)

Net Capacity - 30,200,000 cubic yards

Final Elevation - 782 feet above sea level

"Footprint" - 143 acres

Total costs are estimated at $131 million over the 50-year lifespan (2005 dollars) = $4.35 per cubic yard.

On November 17, 2005, ARM Group Inc. presented an Executive Summary of the Preliminary Engineering Design Report for the Re-Use of the Creswell Landfill to the Authority Board.
