Important
Waste Transportation Safety Program (Act 90) News
PADEP
has determined that final green stickers
have been sent to all known active haulers.
All
waste haulers who have not received their final
green sticker(s) from PADEP should contact WTSP (DEP) immediately
at (717) 783-9258.
After
September 17, 2007, waste haulers will not be allowed to dispose of waste
at processing and disposal facilities in Pennsylvania unless they have
the new stickers on their vehicle(s).
DEP
is requesting all processing and disposal site operators to inform waste
haulers who are still operating under interim authorizations (white stickers)
to contact DEP immediately to obtain proper authorization.
One-time,
one load exemptions will be issued only to companies and individuals that
have no knowledge of Act 90 when arriving at a processing or disposal
facility.

Recovery Facility Waste Deliveries

waste delivery vehicles and/or containers leaving the RRF
site must be free of material that may blow out. |

check your vehicle and/or container prior to leaving the tipping floor! |

matter requires immediate attention.
Containers
will be inspected. The next step is mandatory re-tarping! |

Construction/Demolition
Waste Acceptance at the LCSWMA Transfer Station
| Construction/Demolition
waste deliveries will again be accepted at the LCSWMA Transfer Station
located at 1299 Harrisburg Pike in Lancaster beginning on Wednesday,
January 2, 2008. |
| The
following guidelines apply to Construction/Demolition (C/D) waste
deliveries at the Transfer Station:
- Roll-off container size
restrictions no longer apply (20, 30, or 40 cubic yard boxes will
be accepted).
- NO Dump
trailers or Tractor Trailers will be accepted.
- The following types of
C/D waste are acceptable:
- Shingles, drywall,
plaster, wood, light residential/commercial construction materials
- Light commercial/residential
demolition materials

The
following types of C/D materials are NOT acceptable:
|
| Deliveries of C/D material
will be checked. Unacceptable loads will be redirected to the Frey
Farm Landfill.
|
C/D tipping fee for 2008
at the Transfer Station is $53.00 per ton. The C/D transfer fee
for 2008 at the Transfer Station is $9.00 per ton plus a $4.00 per
ton Growing Greener Fee that will be applied to each ton of C/D
material delivered to the Transfer Station for a total disposal
fee of $66.00 per ton. The disposal fee at the Landfill is $57.00
per ton.

Roads to use when going to the Frey Farm Landfill

the map for hauler routes to the Landfill.
All
waste haulers must use:
Route
441/River Road for travel North & South
Route
999, Route 741 and Donnerville Road for travel East & West
Travel
is PROHIBITED on Letort Road , Blue Rock Road ,
and Anchor Road .
These
routes are enforced per Manor Township Ordinance #2-90. |
