LCSWMA's Environmental Management System
What is ISO 14001 Certification?
ISO 14001 provides guidelines on the elements of an EMS and its implementation, and discusses principal issues involved. The EMS Standards for ISO 14001 specifies the requirements for such an environmental management system. Fulfilling these requirements demands objective evidence which can be audited to demonstrate that the environmental management system is operating effectively in conformity to the standard.
What is the International Organization for Standardization?
The International Organization for Standardization is an international-standard-setting body composed of representatives from various national standards organizations. Founded in 1947, the organization publishes world-wide proprietary industrial, governmental, and commercial standards.
