Operates Authority vehicles (Truck Tractors, Dump, Roll-off, and other trucks) to transfer waste between LCSWMA facilities and assigned destinations in a safe, efficient, and courteous manner.
Responsible for assisting in any capacity, as qualified and assigned, to maintain the facility operation, including performing the essential functions of a Truck Driver, Compliance, Facilities Maintenance and Weighmaster position. The ability to change from job to job is critical.
Responsibilities include coding manifests, screening waste, controlling traffic, properly processing waste, off-loading trucks, and maintaining facility grounds and equipment.
Manages, administers and oversees all of LCSWMA's financial accounting functions including financial reporting, internal controls, property and casualty insurance programs, cash management, budgeting, forecasting, pension accounting and external audit responsibilities.
Environmental Compliance Manager
Ensures LCSWMA’s compliance with existing facility permits and regulatory requirements, assist with new permitting and approvals as may be required for Capital Projects by leading permitting and inspection efforts. Work with LCSWMA Executive Team to develop and manage strategies for permitting and interaction with regulatory personnel.
Recycling and Waste Stream Manager
Plans, administers and evaluates LCSWMA’s Recycling Program as described in the Lancaster County Municipal Waste Management Plan, and collaborates with LCSWMA’s operations staff to manage the flow of waste into LCSWMA facilities. Recycling management includes understanding recycling markets and the impact on Lancaster County’s programs, providing technical assistance to local municipalities, marketing recyclable commodities managed by LCSWMA, research and data management, grant preparation and administration and general promotion of the program within the community. Waste stream management includes such functions as analyzing waste growth trends regionally and nationally to inform LCSWMA’s budgeting process, building relationships with customers, and coordinating with LCSWMA’s operations, the movement of waste into and within the system of facilities.
