Fall 2008 Home Compost Workshops are Sponsored by Authority

4 municipalities host workshops on September 20, September 27, October 4 and October 11.

   

Televisions are added to the List of Materials Accepted for Free at the Household Hazardous Waste Facility

The program begins on July 1, 2008 - Additional information about free residential TV recycling program is available here.

   

The Transfer Station Complex, located at 1299 Harrisburg Pike in Lancaster was dedicated on May 16, 2008. Over 100 invited guests attended the event to mark the completion of the $30 million, 3-year construction project.

US Congressman Joe Pitts visited LCSWMA on Monday, May 5, 2008 to tour the new Transfer Station Complex in Lancaster and the Waste-to-Energy Facility in Bainbridge. He was very impressed with the operations and the facilities.
