Lancaster
County residents enjoy free, full-time access to the Authority’s
Household Hazardous Waste Facility — an exceptionally valuable community
asset. In many places, household hazardous waste is simply tossed into
landfills or collected at one-time events.
Accepted items include:
- Computers
- Cell Phones
- Fluorescent bulbs (including compact
bulbs)
- Transmission and brake fluids
- Used oil and antifreeze
- Car batteries
- Floor and furniture polish
- Adhesives
- Gasoline and kerosene

- Paints and stains
- Televisions
- Turpentine and thinners
- Pesticides, herbicides, and insecticides
- Photographic and pool chemicals
