Information for Residents

LCSWMA manages the processing and final disposal of municipal refuse for Dauphin County and the City of Harrisburg. While our responsibilities in Lancaster County remain the same (visit www.lcswma.org to learn more), our role in Dauphin County and the City of Harrisburg is slightly different. We solely manage refuse (trash); while the Dauphin County Department of Solid Waste Management & Recycling manages the recycling and household hazardous waste services currently available in the county.
