The Lancaster Waste-to-Energy (WTE) Facility is responsible for processing the majority of Lancaster County’s municipal solid waste. Here, waste is transformed into clean, renewable energy that powers the equivalent of 30,000 area homes. Additionally, LCSWMA provides 15-20% of its steam to neighbor, Perdue Agribusiness, for use in the facility’s soybean processing operations.
